Skylight lantern blinds newly installed in South West London. These blinds are specifically designed to cover large flat areas of glass in the most efficient way to eliminate heat and glare, these blinds can also be fitted with a black out fabric if you are installing the blind into a home cinema room or a bedroom.
We always recommend to have these skylight lantern blinds motorised due to the size and location, all you have to do is press the remote control handset for the blind to open and close, the fabric will draw from one end of the roof lantern or skylight travelling down side channels. These side channels hold the fabric captive with a Zip welded to the edge of the fabric, this stops the fabric from being able to be pulled out and help create tension keeping the fabric nice and taught.
When installed these blinds can completely transform a room; they will reduce the heat, glare and of course ensure privacy.
With the side channels and head box constructed from aluminium these can be powder coated in any RAL colour if required to match the windows, which can be an attractive finishing touch.
At the survey we visit to measure up will explain where and how the skylight lantern blinds blind can be installed, our representative show you some samples of the side channels and go through all of the fabric colours so you can make the correct choice to go with your décor.
The Markilux 889 Tracfix is an original awning design but can be successfully used in skylight lantern blinds installations where the expanse to be covered is large., this motorised blind has a rounded head box or cassette which encloses the fabric and the motor, this cassette comes in a number of standard powder coated colours such as White, Grey Brown or Metallic Aluminium. The fabric slides down side channels and is held captive within, this creating tension to keep it as flat as possible. There is a rail connected to the fabric which creates a bottom bar when the blind is fully extended. All Markilux blinds can be operated from a remote control handset or a wire free wall switch.
