Last year we were contacted by Brian Alford who told us he had something we had supplied to him over 50 years ago and he wanted to share with us the history of this piece of history which linked Deans Blinds to the heady early days of the Eurovision Song Contest when a little piece of Deans helped the UK gain a second place in the Competition and number one hit on the UK pop charts in 1961 with the song Are You Sure?
The link is that Brian Alford is better known by his stage name of John Allison - one of the Allison twins - the other being Colin Day, or John Allison. And the real connection is the guitar case which Brian carried his guitar in - the same guitar with which this song was written Click the more link to find out the full story.
