renovated awnings at Godson and Coles

Renovating and repairing awnings is not something all blinds companies have either the skills or the will to do. However this is a valuable service which  we provide at Deans to all our customers. Repairing  awnings is a cost effective way of preserving your existing awning and, in this case, the traditional blind boxes were very old and, rather than supply complete new awnings, we were able to replace the traditional blind boxes with new hardwood units.

The site at which we undertook this renovation work is Godson & Coles who, for thirty years,  have been sourcing outstanding English furniture and works of art. The pieces of furniture they offer are chosen for their authenticity, exceptional design, quality of craftsmanship and untouched patination. The Modern British Art they specialise in, ranges across the leading figures of British abstract expressionists from the mid-twentieth century. Works range from Dame Barbara Hepworth and Sir Terry Frost to William Scott and Alan Davie and many others.

Fulham Road is roughly parallel to King’s Road, and is the westerly continuation of Brompton Road running up to Fulham Palace. There are numerous antique dealers and specialist interior furnishing shops, while designer couture outlets have begun to arrive at the eastern end. The section nearest the cinema is known as The Beach, and is home to various trendy bars, pubs and clubs. The nearest underground stations are: South Kensington and Gloucester Road.
