The Greenwich ® Awning – a 19th Century Look with 21st Century Convenience
The original Deans Blinds Victorian awning has been a staple for over two centuries and continues to be the number one choice when authenticity is paramount to project requirements.
However, the operation of a Victorian awning requires some fairly careful handling and, even, in some cases, a two-person operation. In limited applications, electric operation is possible, but, once again, site specifics often prevent this option from being a possibility.
For this reason, we have designed, developed and produced an awning which meets the overall aesthetic of the traditional Victorian awning but is simple to operate manually or remotely using wireless switching. The awning can even be made to respond automatically to changing weather conditions.
We have named this awning the Greenwich®, which name reflects the location of our awning manufacturing facility, situated on the banks of the River Thames.
This adaptability of the Greenwich awning makes it the perfect solution for commercial or residential applications where the requirement is for a traditional aesthetic but incorporating modern materials, which require no maintenance, thereby providing years of reliable service.
