The Marlesbury®, Retractable, Traditional Awning
Developed in our East London factory, in answer to the demand for a British awning of traditional appearance, without the heaviness of the conventional Victorian shop blind. The Marlesbury® Awning presents a clean, uncomplicated version of a Traditional British awning whilst incorporating lighter, modern materials suitable for use with modern remote-controls.
Available with a lightweight crank mechanism for simplicity, or, where budgets are tight, the Marlesbury® may be specified for commercial or residential use, especially when a modern folding arm awning would be out of place, or there is insufficient fixing for its cantilever design.
The minimalist appearance of the Marlesbury® makes it equally suitable for installation on 1920’s Art Deco buildings or on more modern buildings that may be unencumbered by fancy corbels and pilasters.
The newest version of the Marlesbury® awning is the Marlesbury Sash®; purpose-built to sit elegantly within a window recess. The uncomplicated design allows the awning to sit within the reveals of traditional sash windows, providing shade and reducing solar gain without compromising the window aesthetic.
The Marlesbury Sash Awning is a classic design that fits seamlessly within a window recess, complementing Georgian and Victorian architecture.
