Deans Wedge® Canopies Land on Ronnie Scott’s Frith Street Frontage
It is believed that Jazz started as a music idiom in New Orleans, Louisiana, in 1895, coincidentally, just one year after John Dean founded his Blinds and Awning company in Putney, London.
Today, Deans are still a market leader in the fields of blinds and awnings in the UK. Meanwhile, Jazz maintains its popularity and its roots in clubs around the world in venues such as the iconic Ronnie Scott’s Soho Jazz Club.

When Ronnie Scott’s felt it was time their Frith Street frontage needed a re-vamp, asking Deans to design new canopies was a no-brainer. The Deans classic canopy, in the wedge form seen here, is complemented by many other fixed canopy styles and can be adapted as an approach canopy or to provide cover for multiple elevations, on curved surfaces or even a staircase.
The Classic Wedge canopy can be branded in a subtle style, as here on the Ronnie Scott’s Wedge canopy, or, utilising our RAGS® digital application process, the canopy becomes a three-dimensional sign, highlighting your business.
At Deans Blinds, we understand the importance of creating visuals to show how your awning will enhance your establishment’s frontage. That’s why we offer 3D visual mock-ups of your project.
