Three Traditional Restaurant Awnings for Berenjak Mayfair, Following Michelin Bib Gourmand Success
This new Michelin-Awarded restaurant is located at the recently refurbished 19th-century building on Duke Street, Mayfair. The requirement for the awnings needed to be practical, to shelter outside diners, but, critically, had to meet the high aesthetic standards dictated by such a prestigious location.
The Deans Traditional awning was the obvious choice, but the extensive corner location was too long for the installation of one awning with the ability to cover all the diners. The solution was for us to manufacture, in our London factory, a bespoke pair of traditional awnings which were then linked with a retractable junction cover of a type originally designed our founder, John Dean, back in the late 1800’s.
The awning was constructed by hand in our London factory from FSC-sourced hardwood, which was then hand-painted to a high gloss finish. The robust steel supporting arms were powder-coated to an impact-resistant finish at 215 degrees Centigrade prior to assembly. A second, smaller awning was installed on the Brown Hart Gardens elevation to complete the project.
Another noteworthy feature of the Deans Traditional awning is the sloped top board with integrated drip rail, which ensures water run-off and prevents ingress into the awning box, which may cause structural degradation.
Deans Shop Awnings & Shop Blinds
We first began crafting the Deans Traditional Shop Blind in 1894. Since then it has gone on to become an icon of the British High Street, instantly recognised all over the world.
