New Traditional Restaurant Awnings For OPSO

OPSO is an ancient Greek word for a delicacy – We can’t exactly say the traditional awnings we have supplied and installed for the Popular OPSO Greek restaurant on Paddington Street are a delicacy. However, the branding we have applied, using our bespoke RAGS® computer aided graphics process, are delicate in their interpretation of the detail encompassed in the client logo applied to the awning covers.

The awnings themselves are our Deans traditional shop blinds which have been made in pretty much the same way since we first started back in the late nineteenth century. However, today we are able to take advantage of some modern technology without compromising the traditional look which our clients value. The hard wood awning boxing and front lath is carefully hand painted, as it was back then but now we use environmentally sound water-based paint rather than the rather unpleasant lead based variety used by our forebears.

On this particular site there were some old traditional; awnings on site and, for the sake of originality, we were able to reclaim and renovate the original arms. A strategy which also fits well with our Environmental Policy and commitment to avoiding waste where at all possible.

An interesting adage to Paddington Street is Paddington Street Gardens and few visitors realise the gardens were, up until 1814, the local burial ground. Sharp eyed visitors may still spot the occasional headstone.
