The owners of the popular Lokal Turkish restaurant in Fitzrovia requested an awning with a traditional appearance. However, the overall awning width (more than 8 meters) precluded the use of our popular Traditional commercial awning. Step up the all-British Greenwich Cantilever® Restaurant Awning, featuring 3000mm Folding-Arms and a bespoke traditional hardwood box.

The profiles of the Greenwich® Cantilever Awning arms are formed from powder-coated, aircraft-grade aluminium extrusion, with an exceptionally robust high-tech belt for durable, quiet operation. This manufacturing process ensures the large cover on this awning presents a smooth, taut appearance to which branding can be applied if required.

A feature of the cantilevered version of the Greenwich® Cantilever Awning is the front profile, which is entirely enclosed by the fabric cover, giving it that smooth, uncluttered appearance.

The large awning at Lokal incorporates a sealed, electric, motor-operated awning that can be remotely operated from within the restaurant by the push of a button. For additional security, the awning is protected by a vibration sensor that detects high wind speeds or other abnormal pressure, causing the awning to retract safely into its custom-painted, hardwood protective box.
