Facebook Head Office Fitted with Bespoke Deans Canopies
These canopies, specially created for the Facebook head office on Rathbone Square, Fitzrovia, are a bespoke system; installed as part of the major Facebook development which saw the area change from its original purpose as the Royal Mail’s sorting office.
We were given the challenging task of designing canopies for structural frames incorporated into the building.
Since no information existed, our Surveying Team created new master patterns of each fixed canopy. These patterns were then used by our Fabrication Department to produce new fabric canopy covers, which were then installed to the frames.
Bespoke work of this type can only be achieved by master blind makers and Deans are proud their skills have been transferred down the years, since the Company was founded in 1894.
