Deans Blinds Nominated for Two Awards by the BBSA
Two years ago, we were proud to win the “Highly Recommended’ category for Best External Installation, awarded by the British Blinds and Shutters Association. This year, however, Deans Blinds have been nominated not once, but twice, in the award category for “Best Large-Scale Commercial Shading Installation”.
Our First Finalist is a stunning installation of twenty-one Marlesbury Sash®, retractable, individual awnings carried out on four levels of the Valentino Flagship store, situated at their exclusive Belgravia, Sloane Square, location.
Our Marlesbury Sash® awning was selected for its traditional appearance, appropriate to this elegant building, and the ease of use achieved through a bespoke wireless control system.
Quite apart from the elegance which the all-British-made Marlesbury Sash® awnings add to the building, their shading function has limited solar gain to the interior, thereby reducing the load on air-conditioning.
Our second project to be nominated is the installation of ten linked, all-weather parasols at the Chancery Rosewood in Mayfair, a location previously the site of the United States Embassy.
These parasols provide shade and shelter for clients with the additional benefit of heating and lighting, which extends their use across seasons.
Both projects required close liaison between the client, their Architects and building contractors to ensure timely installation, with the minimum of customer inconvenience.
The design and styling of a an awning is totally bespoke. Each project is unique and our talented and experienced design team who are skilled at working with or collaborating with design agencies or we can work independently to produce your bespoke awning solution.
