Awnings as an Architectural Feature

Architects and Designers have recognised awnings as an integral part of buildings for hundreds of years; providing both practical benefits in terms of shade and aesthetic benefits through adding colour and points of interest to façades.

Increasingly, today, in our environmentally sensitive world, heat gain and its cost of reduction has become an economic priority so the heat reducing properties of awnings increasingly leads them into becoming an integral part of the architect’s building design objectives.

In this post we show a variety of awnings installed for diiferent reasons but all add to the aesthetic of their respective buildings.
