Bespoke in-store awnings for Sainsbury’s
Sainsbury’s is one the most well know and certainly longest established Supermarket chain in the UK and Deans have been pleased to have been chosen, over the past years, as suppliers of numerous interior and exterior bespoke awning solutions. This new rollout we are undertaking for Sainsbury’s involved the design and manufacture of bespoke awnings which have been attached to in-store fresh produce displays. These awnings are a further example of how the ingenuity of our designers and the practicality of our manufacturing team can provide innovative solutions in this ever changing world of merchandising. Our expertise can now be seen firsthand in Sainsbury’s Supermarkets the length and breadth of the country.
The use of CAD facilities in the hands of our highly skilled designers has enabled us to manufacture these awnings, using only recyclable materials, which stand out as a bold statements to in-store shoppers. The special shade of awning fabric presented a particular challenge and had to be developed specifically for this project in order to meet the precise needs of executive merchandisers at Sainsbury’s. Graphics were applied using the Deans RAGS® process providing clear, bespoke logos which stand out sharply in contrast and are enhanced with the addition of subtle concealed lighting,
The awnings have been installed in many stores as the display roll out has proceeded and can now been seen at locations around the country. This project is just one more example of Deans ability to be able to develop a nationwide supply facility whilst still retaining the highest quality and service levels to the more local businesses for which we are renowned.
Sainsbury’s was established as a partnership in 1869, when John Sainsbury together with his wife Mary opened their Holborn shop at 173 Drury Lane, London.] Sainsbury started as a retailer of fresh foods and later expanded into packaged groceries such as tea and sugar. today, Sainsbury’s are known for both their 1500 stores nationwide and for their more recent home delivery service which has increased significantly over the past year during the COVID outbreak.
