Signage; The key to being noticed

Signage is important to every business with a high street location and standing out from the crowd amongst a mass of street furniture is never easy. Corporate identity in signage is a key element in any market led business and the adherence to a specific corporate design strategy has to be paramount. At Deans our long standing success with high street “names” has much to do with our ability to meet and to maintain our corporate client’s consistency in their high street presence marketing. This plain black awning on Starbucks, Old Brompton Road is, by it’s very simplicity,  a sign in itself as familiar as any graphic design. Awnings are a cost effective, three dimensional, way of gaining a visual  high street signage advantage and, where necessary,  our graphics department is able to accurately and consistently enhance the client signage strategy with the application of logos or text.

Typical of the client profile is Starbucks for whom we install awnings on to new sites but, equally important, we maintain the appearance of existing site signage by regularly servicing and recovering existing awnings.  The awning on this popular branch in Old Brompton Road is typical of the work we do and the understanding we have of the need for high profile organisations such as Starbucks to maintain a sharp, clean appearance.

Old Brompton Road, South Kensington, not to be confused with Brompton Road in Knightsbridge,   has been the location of a number of celebrity venues. The Troubadour has been was the  venue for Bob Dylan and Adele performances and the floor above was where the cult political organ, Private Eye, was founded. The most famous resident of Old Brompton Road was Diana, Princess of Wales, who shared a flat with three others before her 1981 engagement and subsequent marriage to Charles, Prince of Wales.
