New Branded Panel Canopy for Michelin Listed Cord Café on London’s Fleet Street
Neither an awning nor a sign yet, fulfilling both objectives, the RIB® panel canopy is a unique development of our renowned RIB® design, providing a three-dimensional focus on any commercial shopfront.
Fleet Street is renowned for its historic architecture, with stone-clad façades, and, naturally, there are restrictions on the types of signage that can be applied to these buildings. The RIB® panel canopy comprises a rigid, powder-coated, welded aluminium frame to which the fabric cover is fixed directly, thereby presenting a subtle, yet robust surface to which branding may be applied.
The brief from Cord was to provide a three-dimensional sign to highlight the main entrance, but which would conform to the strict design limitations dictated by its location. The blue RIB® Panel canopy we have installed, subtly branded with the Pantone-matched client logo, provides just the right balance between signage and style.
The RIB® Panel canopy at Cord shows how it can be used in a subtle way. However, the RIB® Panel canopy can be made in any size and has been installed around corners and even on curved buildings.
