Anti-Glare Blinds

Glare can be a problem in the business office environment which will affect staff health and performance,  Anti-glare blinds are a solution developed to control the amount of light coming through the blind fabric which will result in reduced glare.

Though traditional blind materials may  assist with the  control of light they permit or exclude through the cloth this transmission is determined by a number of factors including the thickness of the material, the colour, the openness of the weave and, naturally, the type of glass the blind is being used with.

Anti-glare blinds are frequently associated with a transparent solar film fitted to an aluminium roller that may be controlled by a spring, a friction system or a side chain. Electric control with automatic sensing is becoming increasingly popular.

If necessary, roller blind can be mounted inside a cassette that will protect the film from dust, dirt and possible mechanical damage when retracted.

Solar films consist of thin layers of yarn  that may be clear or matched  to a colour and degrees of opacity to produce the anti-glare effectiveness of the film with all the benefits this brings

There can also be a micro-thin coating of aluminium sandwiched between the fabric layers that rejects infrared rays and will give the film heat reflecting/heat rejecting properties. This is a feature which can reduce heat gain which will result in a subsequent saving in air conditioning power consumption and all important costs. Solar films can absorb over 97% of UV light which will reduce the fading of interior surfaces and other negative consequences of sunlight such as skin damage.
