This new RIB® Apex style entrance canopy, has been installed recently at the Sunnydown special school in Caterham, Surrey. This type of Apex entrance canopy serves both to draw attention to the venue entrance and to shelter visitors. The Apex canopy has been constructed using the aforementioned RIB® system, which we have developed in our London factory, incorporating light weight aluminium profiles fitted together without the use of degradable plastic parts. The construction ensures exceptional resistance to weathering when installed to external elevations and provides a durable solution for areas that, by their very nature, are susceptible to the hazards of inclement weather.
Installation of this type of awning requires a certain amount of on-site construction and the nature of this location means particular care had to be taken in respect of the physical construction process and due concern for the staff and pupils on site. All Deans installers have undertaken rigorous training and we have qualified for certification under numerous official schemes including the SAFEcontractor certificate and the Contractors Health & Safety Assessment Scheme (CHAS).
