Awning design: Stratford International Boardwalk
Design and Project Management of entire awning system installations is a speciality service provided by Deans which has been developed from the very earliest work we have done over the past 125 years since we were established in Putney way back in 1894. This impressive installation of the Italian Pratic Terrace Awning is one of which we are particularly proud. From the first client consultation through design presentations, in the form of scale drawings and graphical rendering, and assisting with planning control our dedicated Design Team were were able to work with the client to produce this stunning all weather outdoor solution at the Manhattan Loft, Stratford Hotel Brasserie. These fabulous free standing All Weather Pratic Terrace Awnings have been installed by us at this exclusive location and will provide cover for diners in all weathers.
This particular terrace awning has its stylish aluminium framework finished in a contemporary anthracite finish with contrasting cream waterproof fabric which covers completely the outside dining area of this remarkable location. The slim aluminium profiles belie a robust system which will deal with just about every type of weather thrown at it with the exception of snow. Able to withstand a wind speed of Beaufort scale 8, and completely waterproof, the Rialto awning deflects water from the roof into side gutters and then down to be expelled via downpipes neatly contained within the framework uprights.
The awning itself is completely retractable so that, when open, the dining area, is open to the sky but, at the press of a remotely held wireless switch, complete cover is created. Numerous alternative options are available with the Rialto awning system including flexible or rigid side screens and variable lighting effects which can be neatly integrated into the frame. For this particular project our Design Team linked multiple units together to provide cover over the very large area though single units are available in up to 550Cm X 700cm to provide individual cover of up to 38.5 square meters.
The Manhattan Loft Garden is a hotel and residential tower development immediately adjacent to Stratford International Rail Station. This particular part of the development is the Boardwalk which forms a route between the station and the Hotel itself.
