Residential awnings have again featured significantly in our portfolio of installations this year and one of the more popular awnings we have installed is the luxurious, design award winning, Markilux 5010. Available in either electric or manually operated versions this enclosed cassette system can be installed in single units up to 6.00 meters wide or in multiple units totalling a width of over 13 meters.
The awning arm extensions vary from 1500mm up to a huge 4000mm in overall extension. Due to its superior design, the Markilux 5010 belongs to the sturdiest and most stable of awnings on the market in spite of its slender shape. The front profile, with integrated gutter and hidden water drainage spouts, means that, when closed, the folding arms are protected from the water by the cassette. An 85mm roller tube ensures the highest rigidity and the best possible tension characteristics even at the largest widths.
This particular installation in Blackheath has also been installed with one of our most popular Markilux optional extras, the LED Spotline bar. With pivoting LED-Spots in a powder-coated aluminium housing the Markilux Spotline works via a radio receiver and hand-held radio remote control which provides light with the convenient operation on the push of a button. The hand-held remote control can be used to dim the brightness of the LED lamps which have a lifetime usage of over 20,000 hours.
Deans are an accredited installer of all Markilux systems and our residential awnings cover all aspects of solar control and outside entertainment from the simple Dutch canopy, where the resistance to heat gain shade provision is required to save our valuable furnishings from fading through our range of pivoting awnings and canopies for smaller windows up to the sophisticated patio awning systems which can cover large areas suitable for outdoor entertainment.
