Combination awnings at Heads + Tails

This  Classic commercial awning and the Markilux 1700 awning have been installed at Heads + Tails in West Hampstead, London. This is a perfect example of how our huge range of awnings can be adapted, using combination awnings, to fit a wide range of installation situations. The Classic awning shown on the front of the venue has been selected for its robust construction and suitability for wider widths of awning. It can also be seen that we have fabricated, and powder coated in our own facility, the special fixings which have been used on the ends of the Classic to provide suitable substrate fixings.  Conversely, on the courtyard installation we have adapted the Markilux 1700 commercial awning which provides excellent value as a smaller unit yet, by powder coating the frames the same colour and using identical fabric, the awnings present the same outward appearance. Further, using our bespoke RAGS® branding process, the awnings have been decorated identically with the unusual Heads + Tails graphic.

Heads + Tails is  a local neighbourhood bar in the heart of West Hampstead. They have two unique bars to suit your mood and do some pretty fantastic drinks. The snack menu is small and tasty, so they do not serve a 3-course meal. There is a lovely garden upstairs and lovely little not so secret garden downstairs. The ground floor is Heads; a high-ceilinged aperitif spot, flooded with light and spilling out onto what is now  a cocktail garden at the back. Tucked underneath, you’ll find Tails – a low-ceilinged, wood-cloaked bar with cosy, intimate seating and an emphasis on shorter serves, whiskies and rums. Here you can find stirring aged rum, brandy and curaçao; as well as cocktails such as  the Dynasty (a blend of herbs, cognac, and green tea) and a set of boilermakers

West Hampstead is in the area previously known as West End village. A number of famous people lived in the area, remembered by blue plaques, including  the painter David Bomberg, conductor Sir Adrian Boult, newspaper proprietor Alfred Harmsworthand ophthalmologist Dame Ida Mann.
