Traditional shop blinds have been made by Deans since the end of the nineteenth Century in our London workshop. Today they are part  of  the British high street and instantly recognised all over the world. The awning is ideal  for the variable British weather and is still the only awning that may be confidently used in all but the most severe weather conditions. These traditional shop blinds, at the Daylsford Farm shop in Pimlico, are in a pleasant coffee colour uniting the organic products within and the Daylsford product messages on the valances. The shop blind boxes are constructed from hardwood sourced from approved harvested forests and receive a primer, followed by an undercoat and appropriate coats of hand applied high grade environmentally safe paint.

Daylsford have  been farming organically for over 40 years with  a simple passion for real food. There are now many Daylsford organic farmshops & cafés in the Cotswolds and London including this one in Brompton Cross, Pimlico.   Starting  in Staffordshire and then in the Cotswolds  the outlets include shops, cafes, butchers, bakeries and  creameries. There are now fishmongers, grocers. fruit and  vegetables, and dairies. Today they even offer cooking courses and sell organic bath and body products

At the centre of Pimlico is a series of residential streets set out by the planner Thomas Cubitt in the early 19th century and which are  now protected as the Pimlico Conservation area. Pimlico is now a designated conservation areas in its own right. The area has over 350 Grade II listed buildings and several  Grade II* listed churches. Famous  residents were  Prime Minister  Winston Churchill, designer Laura Ashley, philosopher Swami Vivekananda, actor Laurence Olivier, illustrator and author Aubrey Beardsley.
