Deans traditional shop blinds for The North Face, Regent St

This series of  Deans traditional shop blinds has been installed at The North Face flagship store on Regent Street, London. The famous white logo of The North Face has been faithfully applied to each black traditional shop blind cover in the correct corporate white to present a striking overall appearance. The awning boxes are integrated neatly into the shop fronts to maintain the strict conditions of this historically protected location. Special steel sprung rollers are concealed within the boxes and held in tension by strong helical springs which have to be wound to an accurate degree by our expert installers at the time of fixing and no attempt to remove them should ever be made by an untrained operative.

The North Face was founded in 1966 with the objective of preparing outdoor athletes for the rigors of their strenuous adventures. Today The North Face range includes an extensive range of performance apparel, equipment, and footwear, at the very forefront of innovation. You can visit The North Face on Regent Street to choose from the entire collection.

The name was derived from to the fact the north face of a mountain in the northern hemisphere is generally the coldest, iciest and most formidable route to climb. In the Northern Hemisphere, the north face is usually colder and icier than the other faces of a given mountain. On both a daily and yearly basis, the northern side receives less sunlight and spends more time in the shadow, giving snow and ice a greater chance of remaining year-round. If a  group of climbers plan to approach from the north side of a peak may they need to prepare and equip themselves for rock, snow, and ice in the span of a single day. Even if the conditions aren’t particularly treacherous, freezing bodies and a lack of sunlight have a way of adding psychological difficulty to any northern approach. It is therefore essential that suitable clothing is invested in prior to any such expedition.
