Classic patio awning installed in SW17

This Deans Classic patio  awning  which  has been installed at an attractive home in SW17 London has been installed on special brackets fabricated in our own dedicated factory department. We don’t like to allow installation problems stop us from being able to provide the awning our customers want so will always come up with a bespoke solution. In this case powder coated steel plates have been cleverly used to spread the load on the fixings and permit the safe installation of the Classic patio awning.

The Classic patio awning  is a German awning system assembled at our factory in London and installed by our own Deans skilled site installers. The  awning is constructed from maintenance free powder coated aluminium and incorporates double sprung arms. The bright white fabric selected by the client emphasises the clean white of the powder coated framework. Electric controls are available but, in this case, the awning is quite small and a cranked manual control has been specified.

The SE17 postcode incorporates Tooting which has been settled since pre-Saxon times. The name has no bearing on the frequent sounding of car horns but  is of Anglo-Saxon origin but the meaning is disputed. It could mean the people of Tota, in which context Tota may have been a local Anglo-Saxon chieftain. Alternatively it could be derived from an old meaning of the verb to tout, to look out. There may have been a watchtower here on the road to London and hence the people of the look-out post.
