Deans Shop Blinds at Start the Bus, Bristol

The Deans traditional shop blind is renowned for its strength and integrity as well as its faithfulness to the original John Dean design of the 19th century. This multiple unit Deans shop blind example has been installed at the fun music pub in Bristol interestingly named “Start The Bus”.  The fabric covers have been specially decorated in multi colours to meet the designers demanding request. The work was carried out as part of our ongoing project work with  the Mitchells and Butlers brand, a long time customer of Deans Blinds. Our Deans shop blinds are  all constructed from the finest Harvested hardwoods and painted with environmentally sympathetic water based paints to give an old fashioned look with modern appeal.

For this site we also manufactured and installed cafe barriers to mark out the demesne of the outside drinking area allocated to the pub.

Start The Bus is an indie bar situated near Bristol city centre. Bright and airy, the bar has a strong focus on art with illustrative design on the walls and kitsch eclectic decor throughout. Start The Bus serves wholesome pub food such as Sunday roasts during the day before turning into a trendy venue at night for live music as well as club events.
