Awnings for Schools Including All Weather awnings

All UK schools should be required to have a comprehensive sun safety policy to protect children from skin cancer, a charity campaigner says.A recent survey of 1,000 parents, commissioned by MPs on the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Skin, found almost 40% of pupils have suffered sunburn while at school.Richard Clifford of Skin Cancer UK says this is "entirely unacceptable" and wants mandatory sun rules for schools.
Over the past few years Deans have been increasingly asked to provide awnings for shade and solar control in school playgrounds and for nurseries. Deans range of school awnings and sunblinds can be attached to the building or be free standing. Where required, all-weather school awnings, such as the Pergotenda all weather awning, will provide the additional advatage of being useful as an outdoor teaching area.
Government guidelines suggest the provision of these outside teaching areas and solor control solutions by using Deans school awnings will allow to schools to integrate outside areas with the building to provide an attractive and encouraging educational environment whilst protecting students from the sun's harmful rays.
